Financial Institutions Credit Analyst Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Institutions Credit Analyst to join our team at Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA). The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial statements of non-bank financial institutions, including asset managers, and preparing committee memos, research reports, and supporting analytical materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial statements of financial institutions, focusing on asset managers and other types of non-bank financial institutions.
  • Prepare committee memos, research reports, and supporting analytical materials to assist senior analysts in researching financial institutions, including industry reports.
  • Present rating recommendations at rating committees and participate in external management meetings and investor calls.
  • Monitor portfolios of financial institutions for significant developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced graduate degree and/or CFA designation a plus.
  • 2+ years of work experience in a financial analysis role within financial services or a rating agency.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and Excel skills.
  • CFA and knowledge of Bloomberg considered positively.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interest and/or relevant experience in ratings and/or financial sector transactions.
