Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Server to join our team at Potomac Family Dining Group. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system
  • Interact with bar guests to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and drinks
  • Complete assigned opening and closing side work as directed by management
  • Present guest checks to dining room patrons and make correct change or complete credit transactions
  • Relay food orders to the kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
  • Serve alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand policies
  • Participate in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
  • Observe guests, respond to requests, and anticipate guests' needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
  • Ability to drive sales with suggestive selling techniques
  • Write and repeat guests' orders to ensure accuracy and understanding
  • Accommodate special needs of guests, such as booster chairs and high chairs
  • May be scheduled to serve guests in a Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server role
Requirements
  • Friendly and engaging demeanor
  • 18+ years old
  • Prior server experience preferred
  • ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus
  • Reliable transportation required
  • High School Degree or GED preferred
  • Ability to build relationships and work as a team player
  • Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
  • Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
