Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist

At Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experience. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist, you will play a critical role in our team, utilizing your expertise to produce high-quality images and contribute to accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment, ensuring compliance with AIUM standards and department protocols.
  • Produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses.
  • Determine correct techniques to obtain images of the highest quality and resolution.
  • Perform quality control checks, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain supplies.
  • Deliver patient care for all age groups, performing ultrasound exams and procedures.
  • Facilitate diagnoses by producing, assessing, and evaluating ultrasound images and related data.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an accredited training program in General diagnostic sonography.
  • Recent completion of a twelve-month internship in diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent recent directly-related work experience.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or certification in Sonography by the American Association of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
