About Us: Black Rocket Productions is dedicated to providing innovative educational experiences that blend creativity with technology. Our programs are designed to inspire young minds through engaging activities in coding, digital arts, and game development.
Role Summary: As a Lead Instructor, you will have the opportunity to guide students aged 8-14 in various tech-related subjects. This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching and have a strong interest in technology.
- Seasonal position lasting between 4 to 10 weeks
- Work directly with students in a dynamic classroom environment
- Comprehensive training provided
- No prior formal teaching experience necessary
- Enjoy a summer filled with creativity and technology
General Qualifications:
- Must reside within a reasonable distance of our partner regions
- Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong skills in technology-related fields such as coding, game design, or digital arts are advantageous
- Must be available for online training prior to the summer session
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Commitment to a minimum of 4 weeks of work
- A genuine love for working with children
Instructor Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21
- Ideal candidates will hold a degree in education, digital arts, computer science, or a related field, or possess significant relevant experience
- Previous experience with children is beneficial but not essential
- Capable of managing a classroom of up to 13 students independently, or 25 with assistance
- Compensation ranges from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience and location
- Opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles in future seasons
- Ability to handle and transport necessary equipment for classes
