About the Position

We are seeking a Director of Financial Planning to join our team at US Metro Bank. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Finance to develop, maintain, and enhance efforts for the bank's budget and forecast processes and financial models.

You will be responsible for creating and tracking department financials through variance analysis, contributing to monthly forecasts and annual budgeting process. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be evaluating company operational performance indicators, identifying areas of issues or concerns, and making recommendations to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and assist the Director of Finance with the following tasks:
  1. Support development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts for the bank's budget and forecast processes and financial models
  2. Utilize and incorporate financial technology products and systems into the annual budget process and the rolling forecast process
  3. Monitor and track the balance sheet, revenues, operating costs, capital expenditures against budget and provide meaningful insights to senior management with variance analyses
  4. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and ad hoc analysis for executive management & Board of Directors and other stakeholders (Federal Reserve, FDIC, Investors, etc.)
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather data and develop actionable insights to drive decision-making.
  6. Perform related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.
  7. Assist with Asset & Liability Management and ALCO reporting.
Assist the Controller with accounting related items as directed by CFOAssist CFO with Investor Relations tasks as necessary.Assist CFO with Corporate Secretary duties as needed.Provide financial reports and information to the CEO, CFO, and other Executives if requested.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong background in finance and/or accounting
  • Strong PC skills, ability to work with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Success in multitasking in a fast-paced environment and in task ownership

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance
  • Required minimum 5 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Preferred minimum 5 years of commercial bank work experience in Accounting or Finance

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience.
