Position Overview:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will engage in and facilitate scrum ceremonies as part of an agile development team. This includes activities such as work item refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, program increment (PI) planning, and sync meetings with the Business Analyst and Product Owner (PO).

Key Responsibilities:
In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will take on multiple roles within the agile cross-functional team, with a primary focus on requirement analysis and algorithm assessment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interfacing with client managers and delivery teams to develop applications that align with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.
  • Acquiring domain knowledge about the program and legacy systems to ensure consistency in implementation strategies and solutions.
  • Facilitating discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify business needs and requirements for the development team through user story creation.
  • Creating wireframes to illustrate overall functionality.
  • Maintaining close communication with the Product Owner (PO) to ensure that acceptance criteria are met and that backlog priorities align with the product roadmap.
  • Developing valid dependency strategies at the user story level to meet stakeholder requirements as defined by the PO.
  • Coordinating with developers on necessary enablers to support user stories during refinement sessions.
  • Collaborating with the PO and Tester to ensure that products function as intended and adhere to specific, actionable, and measurable business rules.
  • Analyzing business logic defined by end-users, existing legacy system documentation, and legacy software.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $60 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages will commence on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and access to a 401k retirement account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with software engineering activities including analysis, requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing.
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience in creating process flows, use cases, and user stories.
  • Ability to act as a Proxy-Product Owner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a self-organizing team.
  • Effective communication skills within a large, dynamic team environment.
  • Experience working directly with various program stakeholders, including sponsors, end-users, and contractors.
