Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CMM Programmer to join our team at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business area. As a key member of our Machining Operations Center in Orlando, FL, you will be responsible for generating inspection processes, programming CMMs, and determining part acceptance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts.
  • Develop CMM processes, including designing fixtures, determining probes, and programming the machines.
  • Lead and/or participate on Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, and other technical investigations.
  • Identify root cause of complex issues and ensure effective corrective/preventive action to improve processes.
  • Develop and implement new inspection processes and automation methods.
  • Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
  • Make the final decision on acceptability of product.
Requirements
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies).
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
  • Experience with CMM programming, fixturing, and tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills
  • Experience programming Zeiss (Calypso) and/or LK CMMs.
  • Experience in GD&T.
  • Experience with automated processes and robotic technologies.
  • Experienced in reviewing tool designs.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • SAP Application experience.
  • Experience with use of inspection gages and measuring equipment.
