About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at JBT Corporation. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our automated systems meet the customer's requirements from initial startup to customer signoff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the application and sales process, including technical sections of proposals.
  • Manage proposal templates to ensure accurate terminology and technical solutions.
  • Develop standard requirements and questionnaires for estimating projects.
  • Create guidelines for various applications and vehicle types.
  • Review system performance requirements and ensure systems meet design requirements.
  • Assist in developing technical sections of the Functional Requirements Specification, DOO, etc.
  • Evaluate and refine road systems and operations to meet performance requirements.
  • Assist in defining system performance capabilities.
  • Perform overall application risk scoring.
  • Liaise with customers on technical solutions, data mining, and KPIs related to system performance.
  • Conduct Safety Risk Assessments and engage customers on potential risks.
  • Monitor and validate risk mitigations are performed according to project requirements.
  • Attend project meetings as needed, focusing on overall System Design.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and willingness to explore new methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and AutoCAD.
  • Data-driven and able to analyze trends using Excel or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communicator with outstanding listening skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of project ownership.
  • Passionate about machine and systems optimization.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, field, or software engineering in the automation industry.
