Job Summary

As a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with functional loss of disability due to accident, illness, or injury. Our team of board-certified rehab physicians, certified rehab nurses, clinicians, certified nurse assistants, patient care assistants, and dedicated therapists deliver an unparalleled level of care and encouragement through state-of-the-art technology, advanced therapies, and wellness environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, changing, toileting, dressing, and light housekeeping in patient rooms.
  • Participate in clinical patient care activities that do not require a nursing license to perform.
  • Assist with call lights, phone operations, and orienting patient families/visitors.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and properly document all patient care interactions.
  • Review and discuss patient care plans with assigned registered nurses.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow by being aware of room availability and patient intakes/discharges.
  • Clean patient rooms after discharge with assistance from nursing staff and properly dispose of items used during patient stay.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience in patient care or healthcare
  • PA Nurse Aide Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
