Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Plumber to join our team as a Plumbing Technician at Keller Independent School District. As a Plumbing Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of technical plumbing skills to students, enabling them to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of technical plumbing skills to students, ensuring they meet their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
  • Supervise students as they practice hands-on learning experiences, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs, compiling, maintaining, filing, and securing all physical and computerized reports, records, and other required documents.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Journeyman Plumber's License issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners
  • Four (4) years successful related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve problems

Working Conditions:

  • Work to be completed on-site from assigned school or building
  • Regular exposure to noise and computer monitors
  • Work inside, may work outside
  • Frequent districtwide travel

Mental Demands:

  • Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress work; prolonged or irregular hours
