Job Summary

As a House Supervisor RN PRN at Sovah Health - Martinsville, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's daily activities. This position requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse who can effectively supervise and direct nursing staff, while also providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient hospital operations
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to promote a culture of excellence and safety
  • Collaborate with hospital managers and personnel to achieve departmental and hospital goals
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or Compact State
  • BSN preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association certification required, or must be obtained within six months of hire
