The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering direct patient care within the surgical clinic environment. This nursing role requires adept coordination of patient care, effective triage, and collaboration with clinic providers, fellows, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and analyze ongoing patient data to identify individual needs.
- Assist patients, their families, and healthcare providers in formulating a tailored plan of care that addresses multiple nursing diagnoses and medical issues.
- Implement the nursing process, including triage, assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of care and patient education.
- Document assessment data and develop a personalized Plan of Care (POC) according to established standards.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with regulatory requirements and nursing standards.
- Evaluate patient progress towards desired health outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Foster a positive educational environment for students and staff.
- Engage in effective communication with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate medical records and report any variances in care processes.
- Participate in staff recruitment and retention efforts.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an associate degree, nursing diploma, or higher.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional accountability.
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid nursing license in the state of Arkansas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within the first month of employment.
- Two or more years of nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
Additional Information:
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
