Our client, a prominent communications provider, is dedicated to delivering high-speed connectivity solutions across the nation, empowering both individuals and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate wage calculations based on hours worked.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, staying informed on any changes.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve compliance issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll Team to ensure timely processing of payroll tax obligations.
  • Reconcile withholding and unemployment taxes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Work closely with internal teams and UKG to manage identification numbers for new jurisdictions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within payroll operations.
  • Coordinate year-end activities to ensure accurate tax filings, including W-2s.
  • Ensure proper setup and maintenance of local withholding codes in the payroll system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in payroll tax compliance across multiple states.
  • At least two years of experience with UKG Pro.
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions such as SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification as a CPP or FPC is a plus.
