Job Title: Line Inspector

Amerlux, a leading manufacturer in the lighting industry, is seeking a skilled Line Inspector to join our production team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of line leaders and production management staff to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and maintain the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate expertise in product knowledge and work independently in all related areas assigned by production management.
  • Guide the line and assume all responsibilities in the absence of a line leader.
  • Complete tasks related to building light fixtures or sub-assemblies as assigned by production management staff.
  • Use hand or pneumatic tools safely and as directed.
  • Work efficiently in shopvue to clock into all work orders pertaining to the daily production goal.
  • Manage shopvue sign-in's on designated lines.
  • Produce products that meet acceptable quality levels as defined by the QC Department and Production Management.
  • Inspect and test fixtures accordingly.
  • Understand BOM and assembly drawings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • 6 months to 1 year of assembly experience.
  • Ability to read Amerlux product drawings, including understanding of nomenclatures.
  • Display leadership qualities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to stand for at least 11 hours a day.
  • Willingness to work OT when required.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Environmental/Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be asked to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
