Toolmaker/Machinist

Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Machinist to join our team at a premier client in Springfield, MA.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Toolmaker/Machinist to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing CAD/CAM software and equipment to create and prototype product parts, components, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and other machined items.

• Utilize CAD/CAM software and equipment to create and prototype product parts, components, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and other machined items.
• Take conceptual ideas and transform them into finished products, following all quality and production standards.
• Create SolidWorks models, select materials and tooling, create drawings, produce CNC code, and oversee the completion of components.
• Read blueprints and use measuring devices to make or modify existing tooling.
• Assist with troubleshooting machining processes and equipment problems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to create prototype tooling and parts.
• Set up and operate all machines in the tool room.
• Understand and perform to quality standards, utilizing inspection devices, and accurately report.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks and CAM software.
• Completed an apprenticeship training program.
• Demonstrated ability to produce finished components from a concept or solid model.
• Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and air clamping systems (a plus).
