As a Key Holder, you will collaborate closely with your Store Manager to empower team members in achieving sales targets through proactive coaching, fostering a collaborative selling atmosphere, and ensuring operational excellence during your shifts as the acting manager.

This role includes the responsibility of store keys, enabling you to open and close the store as scheduled, fulfilling the duties of the manager on duty.

  • Assist in the recruitment of store personnel and promote diversity by contributing to an inclusive workplace.

Performance:

  • Support the management team in reaching store business objectives, including sales, customer service, and operational targets.
  • Utilize store reports to inform decisions that drive business success.
  • Engage in business outreach initiatives and relay leads to the Store Manager.
  • Identify performance enhancement opportunities and collaborate with management on development plans.

Operational Excellence:

  • Work with the management team to ensure adequate staffing for effective execution of initiatives and operational tasks, delivering on customer promises.
  • Assist in training store staff on all internal operational functions as required.
  • Stay updated on corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the management team in implementing store programs aimed at increasing efficiencies in sales, service, operations, and branding.

Workplace Culture:

  • Contribute to a store environment that values and recognizes diverse opinions and contributions.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring training resources are utilized effectively.
  • Act as a role model for all store team members, providing enthusiastic and motivational leadership.
  • Partner with management to conduct regular store meetings, ensuring all team members are informed of company directives.

Customer Experience:

  • Assist in training the store team on customer service standards to create exceptional customer experiences, exceed expectations, and achieve high satisfaction scores.
  • Utilize customer feedback to address and resolve concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the store meets visual merchandising standards and marketing initiatives are executed as directed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Retail or Sales.
  • A creative individual with sound judgment, attuned to business dynamics.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and a strategic thinker.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in training and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
  • Able to operate a computer and POS system effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders to access merchandise or supplies, and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.
