About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Pulmonary Clinic team in Grand Rapids. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate efficient patient flow, preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by providers.
  • Perform administrative duties, maintaining and monitoring electronic health records, and communicating with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Collect and monitor patient data, reporting patient needs and documenting care according to standards.
  • Engage in process and quality improvement activities, making recommendations to improve operational efficiency and implement new services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required within 120 days.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will work in a team-based atmosphere with structured work processes, supporting our pulmonologists and other healthcare professionals.
