Role Overview:
The Civil Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and management of architectural and engineering (A&E) as well as construction activities for a significant health initiative aimed at restoring health services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop project plans, including design and budget estimates.
2. Review and approve technical construction designs, ensuring compliance with standards.
3. Monitor project expenditures to align with budgetary goals.
4. Conduct site assessments to evaluate project deliverables and progress.
5. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies and international organizations.
6. Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
7. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and guidelines.
8. Create and deliver infrastructure guidance materials as needed.
9. Provide leadership to project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
10. Adapt to rapidly changing environments and high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license from the US or UK is required.
- Proficiency in Ukrainian is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in small infrastructure development.
- At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure design and management, preferably in healthcare or similar projects.
- Proven experience in context-appropriate infrastructure design and oversight.
