Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Brunswick Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

• Work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
• Ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
• Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique.
• Combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist).
• Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.
• Current Surgical Tech Certification, preferred.
