We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Whitsons Culinary Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and safety are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the General Manager in managing production requirements, following recipes and safe food handling principles in a sanitary and professional manner.
- Manage and cultivate a high-performing team to meet the standards set forth by management.
- Coordinate cooking, prepping, and other kitchen activities according to production schedules.
- Be proficient in recipe procedures, measurement conformity, and cooking techniques.
- Perform temperature checks during production periods to ensure food is held and prepared at correct temperatures.
- Follow and manage sanitation requirements as prescribed by the Head Chef or Director.
- Assist in implementing and following up on sanitation cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment.
- Complete and submit weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with production in the cold pantry station when applicable.
- Conduct weekly kitchen meetings to be attended by all kitchen personnel.
- College or Culinary degree preferred.
- FMP preferred.
- Safety training classes completed as required.
