Job Title: Healthcare Unit Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Unit Manager to join our team at Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY.

About the Role:
  • Supervise unit operations, overseeing daily activities and ensuring high-quality care for residents.
  • Mentor less experienced nurses, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to promote efficient and effective unit operations.
  • Review resident records and quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Represent the unit's interests with upper-level management, advocating for the needs and concerns of the team.
Requirements:
  • A valid State RN License is required for this position.
  • Prior experience in long-term care is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Charge Nurse experience is also highly desirable, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong computer skills are essential for this role, including proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues, residents, and stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
