Job Title: Associate Attorney – Personal Injury/Municipality

Job Summary:

The Gori Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Personal Injury and Municipality law practice. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with our Supervising Attorney to file legal complaints, offer legal advice, prepare legal documents, and represent clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Supervising Attorney with case work up and motions
  • Conduct client and witness interviews to obtain and evaluate information
  • Depose witnesses and clients
  • Appear in court as needed
  • Assist with Plaintiff's discovery preparation
  • Assist in returning and responding to client and defense counsel communication
  • Review and analyze medical records and bills
  • Legal Research
  • Delegate assignments to team paralegals and legal assistants


Requirements:
  • 1-5 years of experience in personal injury, worker's compensation, municipal law or related field preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and well-organized
  • Ability to problem solve and strategize
  • Compassion for helping clients
  • Adaptable and responsive to client needs based on health status


Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Licensed to practice Law in the State of Illinois
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
