Manual Machinist

Mirion Technologies (IST) Corporation seeks a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for machining and modifying parts and assemblies for various projects.

• Machine Operations: Set up and operate standard metalworking equipment, including lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, saws, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and metal tempering equipment, to machine parts to formalized specifications.
• Fixture Design and Fabrication: Design, machine, and fabricate dies for hydraulic pressing of parts from sheet material.
• Tooling and Inspection: Define and grind special tooling needed to machine parts to requirement and design and machine special inspection devices to ensure quality.
• Consultation and Guidance: Act as a consultant to engineering and technical personnel on matters of machinability, tolerance, and method pertaining to projects.
• Team Collaboration: Guide and assist lower-classified employees and provide necessary technical assistance and guidance to employees after work is assigned by the supervisor.

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of four-year apprenticeship in toolmaking preferred, or one-year prior experience in a similar position, or equivalent, with experience working with manual equipment.

Salary range: $33.12/hr.
