The Senior Financial Insights Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Papa John's Analytics division, tasked with deriving actionable insights from data to assess current performance and inform strategies for future expansion.

This position is integral to the Marketing & Digital team, leveraging data analysis capabilities to deliver:

  • In-depth analysis of sales, orders, ticketing, and margin performance trends
  • Assessment of new and flagship product performance
  • Evaluation of digital channel metrics, including sessions, conversion rates, and exit rates

Customer Insights:
  • Analysis of trends and factors influencing customer counts and frequency across various segments
  • Creation of interactive Tableau dashboards and conducting ad hoc analyses using tailored SQL queries

Additionally, this role encompasses various ad hoc analyses related to menu strategy, product innovation, media impact, loyalty initiatives, delivery channels, digital experiences, and predictive modeling.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership within the Marketing & Digital team, possessing a deep understanding of the strategic objectives across different business sectors.


Key Responsibilities:


Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business leaders to gather functional requirements and formulate specifications for data analysis and predictive modeling.

Proficiency in analyzing sales, order, customer, demographic, regional, and other trends to pinpoint business drivers, causality, and actionable recommendations for growth.

Expertise in designing and developing intuitive dashboards and business analyses that empower leaders to evaluate performance and formulate targeted strategic action plans.

Conduct analyses related to business opportunities, data modeling, analytical technologies, and predictive analytic methodologies.

Support the organization by comprehending testing methodologies, quality assurance processes (including collaboration with other teams for peer reviews), and test cases to ensure data integrity.

Deliver comprehensive research and insights on consumer, customer, and store datasets.

Exhibit discipline in working with thoroughness and urgency to inform decisions and actions.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and cross-functional teams, particularly in Restaurant Development, Commercial/Marketing, Supply Chain, Restaurant Operations, and Data/Data Science.

Develop the skills necessary to present analytical findings at an Executive Summary level.

Manage a diverse portfolio of projects and ad hoc requests with precision and excellence.


Experience and Technical Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics roles, including the design and development of analytical processes and models
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, statistics, or data science
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Experience as a Business or Data Analyst with a proven track record in gathering requirements and designing analytical solutions
  • Expertise in quantitative data analytics/modeling, dashboards, databases, problem-solving, and related reporting tools
  • Experience in designing and guiding the creation of Tableau dashboards
  • Proficient in accessing data through SQL, including creating and modifying queries
