Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Powell Houston-Canton. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual inspections of electrical equipment and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Perform tests and audits to identify defects or deviations from quality requirements.
  • Document and report non-conformities and work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality by design and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Journeyman Electrician Trade Ticket an asset.
  • Minimum 0-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including electrical theory and relevant mechanical experience.
  • Ability to read prints, including specification sheets, wiring diagrams, and part drawings.
  • Proficiency in quality inspection experience, continuous improvement, and blueprint reading.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional outside activities. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
