Your Role
As a Registered Nurse in our ambulatory care setting, you will be an essential part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Applying the Synergy Model for Care to tailor care plans for each patient and their family.
- Communicating effectively and respectfully with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
- Providing safe and reliable care independently, utilizing the nursing process.
- Understanding the influence of nursing practices on patient health outcomes.
- Recognizing personal performance limitations while requiring minimal assistance.
- Accurately documenting the nursing process in the appropriate formats.
- Independently planning and implementing patient care strategies.
- Incorporating patient and family input into care planning.
- Evaluating patient responses to care and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Identifying opportunities to revise policies based on evidence-based research.
- Delegating tasks appropriately using the Synergy model.
- Utilizing interdisciplinary team members and family care partners as resources in patient care planning.
- Orienting new staff or students as needed.
- Customizing care based on a thorough understanding of the patient and their family.
- Seeking assistance for complex issues when necessary.
- Maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient information.
- Participating in unit discussions to address discipline-specific challenges.
- Demonstrating the application of the Synergy model in clinical practice.
- Collecting and analyzing data to support ongoing patient care needs.
- Reviewing and enhancing the effectiveness of patient care documentation.
- Utilizing various methods to identify and resolve areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Possession of a valid, active, unencumbered nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Individuals currently employed as LPNs within the Emory Healthcare system may be eligible for consideration while completing their RN program.
Physical Requirements
This role may involve:
- Handling weights of 20-35 lbs for 34-66% of the workday.
- Engaging in close eye work, including computer usage and reading.
- Exposure to biohazardous materials and various environmental conditions.
- Shift work and potential travel requirements.
- Utilization of personal protective equipment, including respirators.
