This Respiratory Care Extern PRN role is an exciting opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in respiratory care and work alongside our experienced team of respiratory therapists.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer basic respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities and deficiencies under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in department performance improvement activities and contribute to a culture of excellence.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care practices and technologies.
- Enrolled in an accredited program for Respiratory Care and maintaining satisfactory progress.
- Successful completion of the Respiratory Department requirements for orientation, including Hospital, Core, and Department-specific orientation.
- Satisfactory performance on the respiratory care medication competency test.
- Current BLS certification.
This role is based in the Bronson Battle Creek location and requires flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
