We are seeking a skilled pharmaceutical formulator to join our team at Pinnacle Living. As a Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a key role in creating personalized therapeutic solutions for our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your creative problem-solving skills and pharmaceutical expertise to guide our dedicated technicians in crafting custom medications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compounding, hospital, or home infusion experience, with expertise in pharmaceutical calculations and formulations. They will also possess knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800, as well as cGMP principles. Additionally, they will be familiar with bio-identical hormones (BHRT), veterinary, and various therapeutic categories with compounding solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop personalized formulations for patients.
  • Read and review incoming prescriptions for accuracy, suitability to patient, and potential interaction.
  • Counsel patients on side effects, dosage, specific storage needs, and interactions with other medication.
  • Help oversee management of chemical inventory.
  • Prepare and verify sterile and non-sterile compounds according to USP and standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in compounding procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current NC state pharmacist license.
  • 1-3 years of compounding, hospital, or home infusion experience.
  • Pharmaceutical calculation expertise in relation to pharmaceutical formulations such as capsules, creams, suppositories, injections.
  • Knowledge of USP 795, 797, 800.
  • Knowledge of cGMP.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed.
