We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to join our esteemed practice at PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS OF CARDIOVASCU. This role encompasses a comprehensive approach to cardiac and vascular surgical care.
Key Responsibilities- Full-Scope Surgical Duties: Engage in first assisting, endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH), and manage both ICU and floor responsibilities. Participate in outpatient clinic operations two days per week.
- Contract Duration: A minimum commitment of six months, with negotiable terms.
- Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts with options for one week on and one week off, or preferably two weeks on and two weeks off. Call assignments are negotiable.
- Part-Time Opportunities: We are open to considering part-time candidates.
- Licensing Requirements: A valid California medical license, DEA registration, and NCCPA certification are mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of experience in cardiac surgery is required.
- Proficiency in first assisting and EVH techniques, specifically with the Getinge Hemopro II system.
- Experience with endoscopic radial harvesting is preferred.
- Capability to manage a full scope of cardiac and vascular surgery patient census.
