Atlantic Health System is in search of a Per Diem Authorization Coordinator within the Pre-Registration Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive financial clearance for scheduled appointments, including insurance verification, pre-registration, and authorization processes.
- Processes authorization requests, ensuring all necessary clinical documentation is submitted to payer authorizing entities.
- Engages with payers to obtain authorization determinations, escalating issues as needed to secure pre-service approvals.
- Adapts to varying work assignments based on daily priorities while adhering to established protocols.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years in pre-authorization roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
- Relevant experience as a Patient Access Representative or Authorization Specialist is preferred.
