Responsibilities- Provide care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and other tasks as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to maintaining a positive work environment.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and report any technical issues to the manager or PCC.
- Certified nursing assistant (for new hires)
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
- State registration (for new hires)
- Preferred: High school diploma/GED, previous experience as a certified nursing assistant, and basic computer knowledge
This position requires working primarily indoors with occasional need to be outdoors. Schedule fluctuation is occasional and at times unpredictable. The job involves possible exposure to bloodborne and/or airborne pathogens, body fluids, infections, and contagious diseases.
Physical DemandsThe job requires continuous periods of standing, walking, bending, and forward reaching with occasional periods of sitting. Ability to safely transfer patients and provide contact guarding or hands-on assistance. Requires ability to lift or carry objects up to 10 pounds continuously, to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 40 pounds frequently for patient transfers and bed mobility.
Cognitive DemandsThe job requires the application of previously acquired knowledge, flexibility of thought, reasoning, organizational skills, and the ability to function in new situations. Selective attention and concentration are necessary to complete tasks.
