Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with hospital goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, maintenance management) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading maintenance teams and improving efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, maintenance management).
  • Experience with radiation detection instruments and electronics troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of ANSI N323.
