Job Overview

Position Objective

The Logistics and Warehouse Operations Leader is responsible for managing the daily functions of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

● Oversee and coordinate the Warehouse Supervisor, warehouse personnel (including temporary staff), and drivers in relation to the preparation, setup, breakdown, and post-event cleaning for each occasion.

● Engage in on-site activities during events.

● Organize and maintain a comprehensive decor inventory, ensuring effective inventory management.

● Ensure the fleet of vehicles is well-maintained, including fuel management, scheduled servicing, and cleanliness.

● Monitor, receive, and manage all freight and standard warehouse deliveries (e.g., FedEx, UPS, Amazon, DHL).

● Schedule and manage the pickup and receipt of floral arrangements and rentals, as well as the return of all rental items.

● Implement and supervise warehouse safety and operational protocols, including OSHA and DOT regulations.

● Manage daily warehouse workflows, including event preparations, and oversee the pulling, packing, and loading of inventory onto trucks.

● Organize and schedule trucks as required for events, ensuring proper loading and labeling.

● Order and maintain necessary warehouse supplies and off-site event materials.

● Oversee and manage the budget allocated for each event to maximize profitability, track expenses, and provide reconciliation at the conclusion of each event. Classify and submit expenses for accounting purposes.

● Monitor operating costs associated with daily warehouse activities.

● Perform clerical and administrative duties, including drafting memos, invoices, reports, and other documentation for senior management.

● Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors and employees.

● Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse operations.

● Execute other related tasks as assigned.
