Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service and IT support to software development lab in Dahlgren, VA.
- Manage multiple priorities, including user needs, upgrade requirements, weekly scans, visitor tours, and project management tasks.
- Work with a small team of IT professionals and software engineers to support research-related software work.
- Provide support to Software Lab in Dahlgren, VA, with occasional flexibility to work evening hours.
Requirements:
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA EX200 or RHCE EX294), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or LPIC (Linux Professional Institute) certification.
- Five (5) + years' experience in Systems Administration.
- Experience with two or more of the following: BASH/Ansible, Python, CSH, ZSH, Command line, GNU and Unix commands.
- DOD M Level 2 or ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent that meets IT Level 2 either at or within one (1) month of start.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Linux servers and tools in support of software development.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting Linux Red Hat Enterprise License 7 or 8, driver, applications, vulnerabilities, security requirements and postures, experience with DCSA STIG and SCAP requirements.
- Ability to interact with corporate and vendor SMEs to solve complex problems, RMF experience, building and maintaining Linux Systems.
