Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our Workplace Health and Safety Teams to design, build, and improve safety programs and initiatives across our fulfillment infrastructure.
- Research and analyze data to inform safety-related recommendations and present findings to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement safety projects and initiatives to enhance the safety and efficiency of our work processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, RME, Central Teams, Human Resources, and Transportation Operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Participate in WHS Intern activities and events to develop your professional network and expand your safety expertise.
The summer internship is a full-time, 10-week program (40 hours/week) that runs from May to June. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in safety-related projects and develop your skills in areas such as safety management, risk assessment, and compliance.
Onboarding will include OSHA10, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, technical writing, and intro to project management training.
Requirements- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with an expected completion date between December 2025 and August 2026.
- Working towards a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Interest in or previous experience in safety-related employment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to comfortably interact with and influence stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, Vizio, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Proven technical guidance for large-scale safety projects.
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
The base pay for this position ranges from $23.17/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $36.78/hr in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
