Controller - Furniture Manufacturing Leader

We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our team as a Controller - Furniture Manufacturing. This is a key role that will oversee financial activities and personnel, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel, including Payroll, AP, AR, GL, and HR Administration.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual compilation of multi-company financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase return on investments.
- Utilize MAS, SAGE system, and expert-level Excel skills to drive financial performance.
- Serve as a key leader for external audit activities, bank, and workers' comp audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, review tax situations, and review property tax documents.
- Collaborate with the Cost Accounting Manager to ensure proper recording and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience as a Controller in a manufacturing business.
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong leadership qualities, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
