POSITION SUMMARY

The Landscaping Technician plays a crucial role in the daily operations of both construction and maintenance activities by executing assigned responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs lawn and plant maintenance tasks, which include mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching.
  • Completes tasks with efficiency and thoroughness, adhering to company production standards and requirements.
  • Operates landscaping machinery following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Utilizes basic hand tools safely and effectively, such as shovels, grading rakes, spades, grub hoes, and wheelbarrows.
  • Adheres to all project specifications, material lists, and guidelines.
  • Ensures that the installation of lawns, plants, and masonry meets company quality standards.
  • Keeps the worksite clean and safe, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all company equipment.
  • Works safely and reports any unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader or Operations Manager.
  • Encourages ongoing improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • At least 1 year of experience in the landscaping industry is required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to perform all aspects of landscaping tasks safely.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and tasks.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Outdoor work conditions.
  • Extended hours may be required during peak seasons.
  • Involves significant physical activity, including strenuous tasks in varying weather conditions, exposure to loud noises, and potential contact with air pollutants, allergens, dust, pollen, insects, and other natural hazards.
  • Continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and sharp tools.
