Professional Services engage in a diverse array of projects for clients and partners, leveraging collective insights from the AWS customer ecosystem and maintaining a strong focus on customer success.
Our team works in collaboration with the entire AWS organization to provide access to product and service teams, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions and driving feature innovation based on client requirements.
This role requires in-person work at designated locations (or client sites) for at least one day per week. This is not a remote position; physical presence in the office or with clients is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative and enjoyable work environment at AWS, embodying our principle of "Work hard. Have fun. Make history." In this role, you will find joy in your work and naturally create a positive atmosphere.
- Engage with Department of Defense clients, demonstrating a passion for educating, training, designing, and implementing cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of Intelligence Community customers.
- Possess a robust understanding of large-scale computing solutions, ideally with prior experience as a systems or support engineer.
- Continuously refine your technical skills and explore new ones to contribute meaningfully to in-depth architectural discussions.
- Participate regularly in comprehensive education and design sessions to develop truly innovative solutions built on AWS.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of specialized technical experience in design and architecture.
- 5+ years of experience with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
- 7+ years of consulting experience in designing and implementing serverless distributed solutions.
- 5+ years of software development experience with object-oriented programming languages.
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), systems, networks, and operating systems.
- 7+ years of experience managing complex, large-scale projects with external or internal clients.
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
- Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in security, compliance, and risk management.
- Professional experience in architecting, deploying, and operating solutions on AWS.
- Experience in software development or internet-related industries.
- Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud, including DoD Special Access Programs.
- Experience managing highly available data center operations with a focus on infrastructure reliability, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
- Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements, such as Joint SAP Implementation Guide, DOD Risk Management Framework, and FedRAMP.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges significantly based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
