Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on our 50-bed Mental Health Recovery Adult unit. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care and a passion for working with individuals with mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Assess patients' physical and mental health needs
- Collaborate with Psychiatrists, Therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Administer medication as prescribed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of employment
- American Health Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Formal training in managing aggressive patients
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably with children, adolescents, and adults
