The registered nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing care that their patients receive and for the conformity of that care to nationally, regionally and locally accepted standards of care and best practice. The ideal candidate will have a current and valid state RN License, BSN Preferred, and current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. ACLS and PALS certifications are also preferred. Five years' experience in an acute care operating room in the scrub and circulator roles is preferred, as well as completion of a recognized training program in an RN First Assistant Program recognized by NIFA. Certification as an RN First Assistant within one year following meeting the required hours for certification is also required. CNOR certification upon hire and must be maintained.
