We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Family Practice) to join our team at the Department of Defense. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical exams, and developing treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Examine patients to determine the presence and extent of diseases and conditions
- Administer appropriate care and refer cases requiring hospitalization or subspecialty care
- Provide emergency/lifesaving care to patients on a periodic basis
- Supervise medical students/externs and other non-professional healthcare providers when needed
- Scope of care includes assessment, treatment, consultation, and evacuation of patients
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a school in the United States or Canada
- Must have a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Must have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in the specialty of Family Medicine
This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations and immunization screening. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
