Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiology Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques to provide the best possible care.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA-approved facility.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
