Job Summary

The Energy Production Supervisor at Reworld Indianapolis is responsible for fostering a safe and environmentally responsible work environment, while directing the daily work activities of the operations group during their assigned shift. This leadership role requires the ability to mentor and coach team members to develop excellence in the operation of an EfW facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, prioritize, and direct the daily work activities of the operations group during their assigned shift.
  • Manage the functional activities of the Control Room Operator, 3 Auxiliary Operators, and Crane Operator to ensure quality and timeliness of our customers.
  • Delineate and enforce safety procedures and policies for the Operations Department and other support teams.
  • Closely monitor production and maintenance activities of the facility and assist in planning and executing both scheduled and unscheduled outage work, as well as the timely completion of operating duties.
  • Support the development of recommendations for plant improvements.
  • Confer with representatives of other departments in solving interrelated operational, administrative, organizational, and technical problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a background in power plant operations, including at least five (5) years' experience in hands-on and/or supervision of power plant machinery.
  • Ability to work shift work as required to support staffing of the facility 24x7x365.
  • Frequent standing, walking, crouching, crawling, and kneeling may be required.
  • Other physical requirements include the ability to work in moderate extremes of temperature and humidity (hot or cold), work in confined spaces, work at elevations, and wear a full-face respirator.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) products, as well as exposure to computer-based Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience with DSC and CEM equipment is desirable, as is experience as a Control Room Operator at a facility with a PC-Based DCS system.
  • Must be a current holder of an ASME provisional certificate and be able to pass site-specific operator exam within six months of hire.
