We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional to join our Business Markets team at Verizon. As a key member of our FP&A organization, you will play a critical role in driving business performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales leaders and their organizations to drive business performance and growth.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze complex business performance issues and provide strategic guidance to drive profitable growth.
  • Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses of business trends, including budget variance and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide input into and support development and communication of business plans, forecasts, and other financial reports.
  • Lead executive reviews of financial and operating results.
  • Assess the impact of strategic financial decisions and present recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
  • Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
  • Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Familiarity with the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
