At MedStar Health, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in the Baltimore-Washington metro region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviews of medical history, performance of assessments, and determination of recommendations. Develop and implement treatment plans that address patient goals and needs.
  • Treatment Implementation and Progression: Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including training, equipment recommendations, and ongoing assessment and revision of treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on occupational therapy techniques, strategies, and resources to promote independence and overall well-being.
  • Discharge Planning and Follow-up Care: Ensure seamless transition of care by completing accurate and timely discharge planning and follow-up care.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Pursue ongoing education and professional growth to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Credentials: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy, along with Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia licensure as required.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is necessary for this role.
