Position Summary:
The Shipping Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the order fulfillment cycle, ensuring that all orders are meticulously prepared, processed, and dispatched promptly to align with customer expectations. This position involves assembling orders, generating shipping labels for warehouse dispatch, and overseeing the order workflow. The Shipping Operations Coordinator is tasked with monitoring outstanding orders, resolving potential challenges, and assisting the production administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and process daily orders for fulfillment, guaranteeing timely preparation and dispatch.
- Assemble orders within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Track open order reports to ensure all shipments are completed within the designated customer shipping timeframe.
- Analyze inventory reports to identify and rectify any issues hindering complete and timely order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with account managers to ensure adherence to customer routing guidelines and specifications for packing, labeling, and shipping.
- Provide essential shipping details, including dimensions, pallet counts, and order readiness dates upon request.
- Work closely with account managers, sales personnel, and the production team to coordinate the timely dispatch of all orders.
- Escalate any issues that may cause shipment delays to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in administration or order processing.
- Proficient computer skills, including expertise in MS Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Proven capability to manage and process orders effectively.
- Previous experience in a role requiring interdepartmental coordination is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in administration or order processing.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to navigate the warehouse and office environments as needed.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
