The Role: We are seeking an experienced Screen Print & Embroidery Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Screen Print & Embroidery Manager will be responsible for managing a team of screen printers, screen makers, embroidery machine operators, and QC staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, maintain quality standards, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy screen print and embroidery department.
  • Manage a team of screen print press operators, screen makers, ink mixers, embroidery machine operators, and QC staff.
  • Hire and train screen print and embroidery staff.
  • Schedule jobs to machines, ensuring timely completion of orders and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform QC checks to ensure printed products adhere to company standards.
  • Provide staff reviews and performance feedback.
  • Ensure safety standards are being followed and the department is kept organized and clean in line with 5S practices.
  • Utilize ERP systems to track and update production progress.
  • Communicate with other departments, such as pre-press and fulfillment, to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • May be required to operate a press or work in other departments from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a screen print and embroidery manager.
  • Automatic screen print press experience.
  • Embroidery machine experience.
  • Understanding of different screen mesh counts, inks, and fabric types.
  • Understanding of emulsion and screen coating techniques.
  • Understanding of different ink removal, emulsion removal, degreasing, and haze removing agents.
  • Understanding of different embroidery needles, thread types, and fabric surfaces.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
  • Experience using production management systems.
  • Understanding of 5S practices is beneficial but not essential.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
