We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Cashier to join our team at UofL Health. As a Pharmacy Cashier, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our retail pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities- Collect payment for prescriptions dispensed from the retail pharmacy.
- Handle checks, credit cards, and verify check authenticity.
- Maintain a log of bad checks.
- Process voids and refunds in the pharmacy after verification from staff pharmacist or pharmacist manager.
- Prepare and balance the Cash Reconciliation Report daily.
- Ensure register supplies are adequate and maintain the working order of equipment.
- Assist pharmacists by providing prescriptions to patients, receiving patient signatures, and preparing various pharmacy reports as needed.
- Assist technicians by answering phone calls, entering prescription data into the pharmacy computer, and providing training on the use of the cash register.
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- One year of cashier experience preferred.
- One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
