Overview

This is a hybrid role that requires working both inside and outside of a company office. As a key member of the Liquidity Product Management team, you will be responsible for building out credit research and analysis, providing fundamental credit research and financial analysis of SVB counterparties, and offering recommendations regarding risk.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fundamental corporate credit research and financial analysis of business-critical counterparties.
  • Build out counterparty-specific coverage, including ongoing monitoring of existing exposures and risks.
  • Lead due diligence of counterparty opportunities, researching financial institutions, reviewing key factors, and developing financial models and relative value analysis.
  • Communicate views orally and in writing to the product and risk leadership teams in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare sector overviews, company reports, and quarterly earnings reviews.
  • Maintain productive relationships with senior management and key external contacts for our counterparties to help inform decisions.
  • Provide insights and support to drive ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or (HS or GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience)
  • 3-7 years of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency, or debt capital markets/leverage finance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience of relevant credit research experience in investment management, rating agency, or debt capital markets/leverage finance
  • Possess a growth mindset and be a team player who can adapt to change
  • Effective communicator who can organize, interpret, and summarize information succinctly
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, improve processes, and work collaboratively with research analysts, product managers, financial risk management teams, and other key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Excel and Bloomberg. Knowledge of Python, SQL, and other programming languages is preferred
  • MBA, CTP, and/or CFA is a plus
