Key Responsibilities- Facilitate efficient and effective patient flow, preparing patients for visits and providing specific services and education as determined by providers.
- Perform administrative duties to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, including maintenance and monitoring of electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, work area, and equipment, and communicate any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicate with patients and their families in a caring and respectful manner, and collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Collect and monitor patient data, reporting patient needs and data as directed, and document care consistent with documentation guidelines.
- Engage in process and quality improvement activities to ensure efficient and effective services, and make recommendations to improve operational efficiency and implement new services.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
- 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
- One of the following certifications required within 120 days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), or AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
This is a part-time position working 21 hours per week, with a shift of 6:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
